Nacido::600 aC o Nacido::576 aC-Muerto::530 aC) was the founder of the vast Achaemenid Empire. He was the conqueror and ruler of Babylon from 539 BC until his death in 530 BC. He was the son of Cambyses, king of Anshan.

Conquests and military campaigns

Under King Cyrus, Persia became a great power conquering its neighbors, the Medes, the Lydians and the Babylonian empire. Around 540 BC, Cyrus defeated Croseus bringing independence of Lydia to an end.
